The waiter was bringing our food and I said I also had a side of rice to which he replied he only had 2 arms. Then he called me and my other male friend a couple, totally crossing the line. I expected a better service from such an overpriced place.

Don't go!
I got a $100 gift certificate from Restaurant.com, I called Boteco Copacabana to make a reservation and let them know in advance taht I was planning to use it, and specifically asked if there was any additional limitation, beside the ones printed in the certificate (only one gift cert per table, minimum expenditure of $200 etc). The person who took my call, said it was ok and gave me his ...name: Luciano.
As soon as we got to the place, they gave us a table, and Luciano said that his boss had just told him than they will not honor the gift certificate. I asked to talk to the boss, who identified himself as the owner, and said that the deal they had with restaurant.com was only for $25 and $50 gift certificate, so he was not going to honor ours. Plainly like that, no apology, no options. Good bye. That doesn't look like a wise and/or honorable business person to me!!!! May be it is because his attitude that the place was half empty on a Saturday night.See More
