NOT WORTH THE HASSLE FOR MANI/PEDI



PLEASE, PLEASE, save yourself a scheduling hassle, disappointing services and SKIP THIS PLACE.

They are right in my neighborhood and not worth the walk. It is a supposedly relaxing spa that plays loud Dance Mix music.

I have been trying to get a late afternoon/evening mani/pedi to no avail even tough they are open until 8pm. I finally, after 2 1/2 months of trying, made a late lunch appointment and even spoke with the owner advising him that I was bringing my 20 month old grandbaby during her nap time. She stayed in the stroller and laid down the whole time while there were 2 other clients in the place. She was talkative and engaged while we were there. No crying, no screaming (although I felt like it)!

I requested to have my nails done before my pedicure and they made a big fuss because she wasn't prepared. The 'nail tech' DID NOT HAVE her utensils in a sanitizing solution and poo-poohed when asked. Totally blew me off. She was POORLY TRAINED, stood under POOR LIGHTING next to a spa pedi/chair that would NOT RECLINE NOR EXTEND FOR TALLER INDIVIDUALS (they didn't know how to make it work although it had the handles to facilitate adjustments). Imagine sitting straight upright with your knees bent for a pedicure.

She missed applying polish to areas where she hadn't slopped sticky, thick, old Essie polish all over my cuticles and HAD to be asked to clean it up (she made a face when asked). She didn't understand to PUSH BACK, NOT CUT CUTICLES at the top of the nails even when told in English AND Spanish. I had to stop her numerous times from doing so. Even then, she did a poor job a removing nail side dead skin. THIS GIRL NEEDS TO GO BACK TO BEAUTY SCHOOL.

When I asked to speak to the owner to show him my sloppy manicure, Tanio came out and was HAUGHTY and RUDE. He had ARRIVED just as I was sitting in the chair at 1:30pm. He said the baby made the tech 'NERVOUS' and told me to come back without her. THAT was HIS answer to a poor manicure.
