Travis Tae Kwon Do Program (ages 3 and up) is set up to teach traditional Tae Kwon Do. The specific style of TKD we teach is called Chung Do Kwan. Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial arts that literally translates to mean “kick punch way”. TKD is governed by five tenants, courtesy, integrity, perseverance, indomitable spirit, and self control. The class will help the student develop discipline, respect, and self esteem as well as a having positive attitude and healthy lifestyle. The student can expect to increase strength, muscle tone, flexibility, improve school grades, and develop - improve communication skills. TKD is all about "family" and friends. - To provide an opportunity for youths-adults to participate\learn an elite martial arts practice. - To promote quality instruction techniques and knowledge of martial arts. - To develop and enrich the education and discipline of our students. - To teach life skills and peaceful problem solving skills. - To develop and foster leadership and respect for self and others. - To teach effective conflict resolution through peaceful strategies. - To promote the development of positive personal character, self esteem, and friendship building. - To provide positive role models for youths.
