EMC Reliable Movers

EMC Reliable Movers gave me the lowest quote of 4 quotes (the highest quote was double EMC's!) that I got for a complicated (4 houses) local move of some antique furniture. They were a little late but apologetic and, more importantly, they kept me very aware of their progress so that my own time was not wasted. They (crew of 3) came in a clean, well-euipped truck with ample padding to protect my furniture. They made quick work of the moves and took care to protect the 4 homes and the various items of furniture from damage (including 2 china cabinets with glass). They also took a lot of care with placing the furniture. With reasonable prices and polite professional service, they are a great moving company!

Pros:

Cons:

Not punctual at all, arrived 7 hours late to do the move



No equipment such as handcarts, dollys, etc...all moves are done by hand



I had multiple items broken in the move and although they are supposedly "insured", they only offered to attempt to repair on the items and refused to make a claim



Overall:

I say stay away from them at all costs. I would either pay for a truck yourself and have some friends help with the move or spend the extra money on professionals. Don't let this happen to you, we lost money on this move...
