Never Home Alone Pet Sitting

I urge you - stay away. I am truly disappointed with my experience with this company. I am currently working through behavioral issues with my dogs and decided to have this company come to my home to let my dogs out rather than taking them to a kennel when I had to leave for a conference for work. I had at least 3 detailed reports from my behaviorist that I had given them prior to leaving explaining all the issues and instances of aggression my dog had shown. I returned to a report from the sitter that noted a single mishap between my dogs (no humans involved) and was never told there were any other problems. I had requested they return this past weekend on short notice and was given confirmation from one of the sitters before I left. I left them notes and made sure everything was ready to go and left for the weekend, grateful and fully trusting my dogs were going to be taken care of. After I had already arrived at my destination, I was told by the owner that they would not care for my dogs because one of my dogs had bitten the sitter three times during the last visit. As a pet owner, trust in crucial in this type of relationship especially when we're letting someone in to our home when we're not there. Not once had anyone told me my dogs bit anyone. I completely understand why they didn't feel comfortable returning to my home (if this were true), this is not the reason for this review. My disappointment lies in never being told my dog was aggressive toward the sitter and being left high and dry after being told my dogs would be taken care of. What's worse, the owner of the company proceeded to tell me I did not use common sense when I left the dogs for the weekend even though the sitter had clearly confirmed they'd come. She also said I had not informed them of my dogs aggression even though she watched me give all reports from my behaviorist to the sitter and can clearly see all instances of aggression detailed in the reports - my dog had only become aggressive toward a human in a few instances, had never broken skin, and was in situations where he felt attacked and under extreme stress. Regardless of proof (screenshots of the confirmation and detail of behavioral issues), she continued to make me feel like I was incompetent and I had made the mistake - not a good way to treat a paying customer. Due to the unprofessionalism the owner exhibited, the lack of communication between the owner and her employees, I highly recommend staying away from this company.
