Howell Moulding began as a custom frame shop in 1958. In those years, there were no chop programs so the company made its own mouldings and finished, carved and gold leafed its own frames. The company is capable of producing nearly 20,000 frames per day in its 170,000-square-foot facility just outside of Kansas City, Kan. Howell Mouldings is a full-service manufacturer of framed products that include picture frames, shadow box frames, collage, certificate, framed art, decorative mirrors, restaurant table-top menus and laser-engraved alder wood frames. The company s specialty is oak wood, but poplar, alder wood, medium-density fiberboards and polystyrene are also available. Howell will custom manufacture a frame to the client s specifications and offers hundreds of styles, finishes and moldings to choose from. Howell Moulding is located in New Century, Kan.
