The Center’s physicians are also pleased to provide expert second opinions and consultations for other physicians. Mammography, osteoporosis screening, routine pap smears and blood tests can be scheduled for the initial visit.
Medical Weight Loss
Dr. Fink’s clinical interests include polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), hypothalamic amenorrhea, the female athlete triad, stress fractures, thyroid disorders in pregnancy, infertility, menopause, osteoporosis, weight loss, obesity, and diabetes. She can treat patients of all ages with PCOS from adolescence through menopause. Dr. Fink is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York University Langone Medical Center.
Pediatric Care
Dr. Dorothy A. Fink is board-certified in Endocrinology, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics. She trained as a fellow in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. During her fellowship, she worked as a Women’s Health Scholar with Dr. Michelle Warren at the Center for Menopause, Hormonal Disorders, and Women’s Health and is a Nationally Certified Menopause Practitioner. Dr. Fink completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine.

Urinary Incontinence

Gynecology
Dr. Yael Swica is a Nationally Certified Menopause Practitioner. She is a board certified family physician with a subspecialty in family planning and was a Women’s Health Scholar at the Center for Menopause. Dr. Swica earned her bachelor’s degree in philosophy at Columbia University, a master’s in theological studies at Harvard Divinity School, her medical degree at Albany Medical College, as well as a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University. She completed her residency and fellowship training in the departments of Family Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology, both at Columbia. Dr. Swica has conducted extensive research in the field of reproductive health and is currently working on a research project on the effect of hormone use on blood pressure in menopausal women. She offers personalized treatment for perimenopause, menopause, PCOS, contraception and reproductive health, as well as general women’s health.

The Women’s Health Scholar at the Center for Menopause, Hormonal Disorders, and Women’s Health, receives training in the research and practice of menopause and hormonal disorders and women’s health. This work includes participation in the management of clinical trials, clinical menopause management including osteoporosis, perimenopause, lowering risk factors for chronic disease, mood disorders in the hormonally vulnerable women, management of the high risk breast cancer patient and the diagnosis and management of menstrual disorders in pre and post menopausal women. Training will includes common endocrine disorders both in young women and postmenopausal women.

Dr. Michelle P. Warren earned her medical degree from Cornell University Medical College. She is board-certified in internal medicine, with a subspecialty in endocrinology and has trained in reproductive endocrinology. Dr. Warren is a Nationally Certified Menopause Practitioner.
Ovarian Cancer
This group provides support and guidance for women who take care of their own parents during their advancing years. Information and emotional guidance are also available to people who have lost a family member or friend to breast or ovarian cancer, to those addressing mid-life problems and for managing menopause.

Dr. Sonal Chaudhry graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania with majors in the Biological Basis of Behavior and South Asian Regional Studies. She earned her medical degree from UMNDJ – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. She then completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in NY, and subsequently her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at NYU Medical Center. During her time at NYU, she studied and later co-authored a paper on thyroid autoimmunity and infertility in older women.

Dr. Chaudhry’s clinical interests include polycystic ovarian syndrome, gestational diabetes, thyroid disorders in pregnancy, infertility, menopause, and osteoporosis. She is currently the Women’s Health Scholar at the Center for Menopause, Hormonal Disorders, and Women’s Health. Dr Chaudhry is presently working as an assistant professor in medicine and sees patients at the Women’s Health Center which opened at NYU. Minimally Invasive Surgery
Center will also provide state-of-the-art diganosis and treatment of these disorders and alternatives to hysterectomy with minimally invasive surgery using laparoscopic techniques often allowing the patient to return home the same or next day after treatment. Women now can benefit from technologic advances available to diagnose and treat disorders that can be managed medically or with minimally invasive surgery for vaginal bleeding and incontinence.
