Signing up for ilovekickboxing classes has been one of my best decisions this summer! The Chelsea location in NYC is super clean, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The classes are action packed from the warmup to cool down; I’ve never had more fun working out, and I’m honestly addicted! Every class incorporates different combos and moves, keeping things interesting.

I’ve been a member at ILKB Chelsea for over two years now. I decided to try ILKB in an effort to lose the weight I had gained since starting a desk job. A friend and I purchased Groupons for 10 classes, but we both ended up signing up for memberships right after our very first class.

After a few weeks of sporadic visits while I acclimated to the high intensity of the workouts, I committed to going four times a week, every week. Not only did I lose all the extra weight and go down four sizes, I’ve also gained muscle definition—something I never thought I could achieve. If I could do it, anyone certainly can—but attending class consistently is definitely key.

It’s more of a no-frills gym overall, but the instructors are highly skilled and dedicated to helping you achieve your goals, so I definitely find the value of the classes to be worth the price. They go above and beyond to ensure that every class is fun while also making sure that the workouts are kicking your butt :) I highly recommend ILKB Chelsea to people of all fitness levels!

Very inclusive gym of genders, ages, and body types. Not like the young adult cult-like workout franchises that exist throughout the city.
Decent schedule with app reservations. You can also take classes at the sister location (midtown east). Busy classes are the weekday 6 o’clocks - reserve in advance.
Locker rooms are stocked with supplies.
Trainers are very friendly and work with you to modify and perfect moves. Just wish they posted who was teaching which class each week.
Definitely recommend trying it out with a special offer.

I started kickboxing at ILoveKickboxing about a month ago. I go faithfully at least 5 days of week and I can honestly say it was best decision I ever made. I have already started noticing a difference. The staff is amazing and provide you with the motivation that you won’t find by going to the gym. I would definitely recommend joining!

I have been kickboxing for about a year now and I am so grateful I found this studio! I never truly enjoyed exercising and now I can't imagine doing anything else. ILKB Chelsea has been a second home for me. From my very first class, the instructors not only make sure I get a kickass workout, but they make it fun and always treat you like family. They truly care about you, your goals, and your overall well being. I have also made friends with many of the members. It makes accountability that much easier (and fun). If you are looking for something new and want a place that will help you achieve all your fitness goals, ILKB Chelsea is the place to be!

I started ILKB Chelsea about 6 weeks ago, and have been going every single weekday since. The main reason why I wanted to start trying kickboxing is to get more toned since I am a model, and wanted to tone up a little bit all over to be tighter. I signed up for the unlimited membership for ILKB after my first class (since they give you a discount of removing the entry fee if you sign up on the first day) and kickboxing here has really been the thing that has shaped and toned my string bean tall body into a slightly more lean and fit physique. I am already noticing differences after 6 weeks on how tight and toned my arms are, how tight my core is, how defined my calves are, and even my legs and butt have shaped up some as well since you work on kicks of different types that tone that also. You work out barefoot on a mat where you start with a 15 minute HIIT workout followed by a stretch, then a combination of punching and kicking weighted bags, followed by partner work and another light stretch. This is all guided by the great and fun motivating instructors who help you with your form along the way. There are also the occasional fun themed DJ nights on certain days and class times where you'll be able to work out while listening to great music and sometimes even participate in costume contests with prizes! One of the other reasons I chose ILKB over other studios is the flexibility of the schedule. I sometimes get off work late, so it's great to have SO many times to chose from, including after work as late as 7:45-8:30 some nights. It makes it a lot easier to stick to a fitness regimen when you have no excuse because there are classes all the time. ILKB is awesome and I will continue to go and watch my body transform!

Super friendly staff that always pushes everyone to be better. They work out every part of your body while also teaching you the fundamentals of kickboxing. Classes are different every time so content is always fresh. Expect to leave each class feeling great but completely exhausted.

It was my best work out ever! I used to do personal training sessions, but I have definitely lost more weight and got more toned thru this work out. Not going to say it is an easy work out. But you will be satisfied with the outcome!! Also, Instructors are very nice and so inspiring. 👍👍👍 I just joined monthly membership and so did my friends. I think you will have more fun if you bring your friends. 🤣

I loved the classes I took at the downtown Brooklyn I Love Kickboxing location, and was loathe to change locations after I moved across town to a different train line - but this place went out of their way to help me with the switch, which I appreciate greatly! Staff and instructors here are friendly, upbeat, and helpful. This is not an intimidating gym to try out if you're a first-timer. Highly recommend!

iLKB Chelsea is the BEST! This location is clean, spacious, and super close to major subway lines.

The instructors are beyond friendly, helpful, personable, and intense — they will kick your butt into high gear, keep you honest, and on track.

The kickboxing regimen is the only workout I can get into and am (relatively) excited to do each time I wrap my hands and put my gloves on top of a bag. Give the spot a try and you will be a kickboxing machine!

wow. there is so much positive feedback i have for this place. no matter which location i go to, i can trust that the integrity remains constant. the ethos of an “YOU GOT THIS” attitude radiates from EACH instructor and EVERY workout! my mind, body and soul are so invigorated upon leaving every single time! i’m serious! the results are also so rewarding. it’s a positively intense practice that i believe every person should try. the locations are also SUPER clean (compare to other kickboxing/boxing studios) and the instructors teach with such attention to detail to ensure you are doing the proper movements. stop considering and book with ILKB!!!! xoxo

I highly recommend ILoveKickBoxing and ILoveKickBoxing Chelsea. The location is convenient for travel and the gym space is very clean. The intensive workouts always present a new challenge. A great way to relieve stress and improve your mental, physical and emotional well being.
