Monterrey Restaurante Mexicano

After living in this area all my life - I recently discovered this restaurant - when we did get Mexican food we usually ate at Teresa's or Mi Rancho - got tired of Mexican food because the food was awful - the first time I ate at Monterrey's I couldn't believe it - my first chip and salsa I knew this is what Mexican food should taste like - I was excited to anticipate when my lunch would come - it was delicious - the best Mexican food ever - try it - you will love it

My husband and I had lunch for the first time at this restaurante today. I will never go back. The food was mediocre at best. Our waitress took our order and that was the last time we saw her. We waited and waited for her to come back only to find out she had clocked out. When we complained to the manager , he said he understood what we where trying to do. He said we where trying to get our meal for free. What a jerk !!!!! Never going back there again.

The employees here were very rude to me and even refused to fix my bill after my waitress admitted she overcharged me. Jackey said she didn't give discounts. I've never been treated so snidely. Refusing to call a manager, my receipt was adjusted only after confiscating my left overs (this was NOT a buffet meal). I was stunned. I had eaten very little since the food was under cooked. I feel ripped off. I have tried to find out the owner's name to no avail to report this employee. The service was so bad I had to get my own tea refill. I will never go to this restaurant again. My money spends just as well at other restaurants where I am treated with respect. Also, an alarm sounded behind the bar for several minutes while employees just sat there. I had to ask someone to fix the alarm and it took 2 people and their sweet time stopping the annoying alarm. OWNER - watch your staff....retraining on customer service is needed here. I eat out to enjoy my meal, not to be harassed and annoyed.

I have never had a bad meal here, and Angel one of the waiters is one of the best wait staff you can get. If and when I eat Mexican this is my first and only choice
