Sake House

I visit North Charleston twice a month on business and hit this place twice every visit. I get the maki rolls and the octopus salad most times, and hibachi off and on. I sit at the sushi bar and the food has always been excellent. Never had a bad experience here. Only issue I saw was their business sign on the top of the building has burnt out lights. I mention it every visit. May not seem much, but it has been like this since I started coming here a year ago.

This place is terrible! The prices are outrageous for what you are given. I found hair in my food. Our bill for one dinner, one SMALL sushi roll and one soft drink and two waters was almost $40.00. The chicken from the Hibachi menu tasted microwaved rather than grilled and they are very stingy on the amount of food you are given.



Plus, we sat next to the fountain you see when you first walked in and there was a dead goldfish floating in the water. Employees said they would "clean it out at the end of the night". Gross. I would definitely recommend going to Miyabi's instead; you get better service, food and the amount of food is way more generous. Needless to say, we will not be returning to Sake House.
