Ipanema Brazilian Steak House

This is a meat lovers paradise, so if you're vegan, this may not be the place for you, although the salad bar is one of the best I have ever seen.The ambience and decor are just exquisite, but I did think the seating was somewhat crowded and if you are there around sunset be sure to be seated on the side of the room close to the windows or bring sunglasses as there are no shades on the window and the sun can be blinding. Also try to be seated near the kitchen door as the meats are served on large skewers that is cut directly at your tableside and put onto your plates and you get it first when nearest the kitchen. The beef is to die for(especially the prime rib and the fillet mignon) and there are a variety of other flavorful meat choices. I found a couple of the chicken choices to be slightly overcooked and dry and the lamb was a bit too gamey for my taste. Dinner took over 2 hours for us, but food like this should be savored and enjoyed to the fullest. It is a bit pricey if you have a small appetite as it is an "all you can eat" type place.The service was excellent and the grilled pineapple with cinnamon was a thrill to the palate.We were too full to try desert, but from what I saw being served at other tables it looked awesome and of large portions as well. Make reservations or go early in the evning or you may have some wait time. Dress was anything from nice casual to formal. I found this to be an elegant and exquisite dining experience and I highly recommend it to others.

Ipanema is the best resturant in Ocala Florida. Every since I've eaten there no other place compare. Keep up the good work!
