I bought 1G type M+ XD card and was charged $99.99 plus state tax of 6.5%. I said that it was very expensive but the sales manager assured me that it was because it was Type M+ High Speed. I was aware that 1G XD card were selling at much cheaper rate but thought this was a higher spec card. After finishing shopping at Publix supermarket next door, I went back to try and return the XD card as I felt it was too expensive. The sales manager showed me that on the receipt were the words printed "all sales are final. no refund or exchanges". When I got back to my hotel, I found that the card would not work with my camera. When I returned to the shop, it worked with newer models of Olympus camera. He refused to refund the money but offered a credit note for purchasing another item in his store. The cheapest camera was $150. I refused as I now know all his stuff is at RIP-Off price. Got home from holiday and found Amozon sells it for under $15! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM EXPO ELECTRONICS.

8135 Vineland Branch of Camera Expo/Expo Electronics Exposed

I walked into a camera store next to the Publix supermarket in Orlando to buy an SD memory card (Patriot Memory - PSF1G40SD). I was assisted by a sales person named R* & was shown what they had, a 512 megabyte and a 1G SD Patriot Memory SD card. R* told me that the 1G SD card was on sale. From an initial price of $130.00, he said he was willing to bring the price down to $120.00. He also offered a Sima PLE Lens Pen for $99.00 which I thought was too unreasonable. I told him I was only willing to pay $20.00 and so he reduced the price to $29.00. When I got home from DisneyWorld that evening, I searched the internet for the products I bought using their product names. To my shock, the 1G Patriot SD Memory card was selling between $15.00 to $50.00 only but mostly below $30.00. The Sima PLE Lens Pen search yielded a price range of $8.00-$15.00. In short, I paid way beyond what is considered fair pricing. This incident is now a public record at the state of Florida's Consumer Fraud Unit.
