My mother-in-law was discriminated against here. Staff were negligent: not even acknowledging her and leaving her unattended for 2 1/2 hours after paramedics left her in her bed because she was unable to move, failing to give her night meds, and failing to give her thyroid medication in the morning as well. When she asked staff for her thyroid med, staff responded by saying she was lying about not getting it, and asked if she thought people were stealing her pills! My mother-in-law is young and has all her faculties, and she knows when she is supposed to get her meds and if she's taken them. She chose to leave against medical advice, at which point she was threatened by staff who said they would make sure she couldn't get into any other rehab facility in town. Leaving this place SAVED HER LIFE because she was later CORRECTLY diagnosed at the hospital. The Parks only added stress and indignity to what was already a very scary and difficult time. Unprofessional and negligent.
