Jack Stack Barbecue - Overland Park

I consumed the Burndt Ends appetizer here and it was vast, the staff polite and atmosphere good. Their sauce is notable and if I could drink it without appearing improper in public, I would! Along with the cornbread with jalapeno and pork ribs. Really liked it here and will be returning.

If you are looking for great Kansas City BBQ you must try Jack Stack. The burnt ends are out of this world and you can't go wrong with the ribs. A must try if you are in the area.

Great food. We drive up there several times a year as it is my hubby's fav. Yes, it maybe a little pricey but I have never found beef ribs like their crown prime ribs. They are absolutely huge. Wonderful taste. The cole slaw is a joy, hubby likes the BBQ beans, and us and friends like the onion rings. The other thing I like is the staff, they are efficient and seem to enjoy their jobs.

Ive been here twice and I loved it every time. As an appetizer I had fried mushrooms. The beef ribs are a must have!

Who wants white table cloth when your are eating BBQ? To me, this place is over priced, over pretentious and underwhelming. Look, KC is the BBQ capital of the world and to me, BBQ is finger linkin lip smakin good eats. If you dont have sauce drippin from both corners of your mouth, you just aint eatin. Why pretend its something else. I could probably forgive them the pretention if the food was anybit as good as they pretend it is. But frankly, it isnt. I found the pork dry, the ribs tough and the sausage to be so so. Look, if are looking for some serious, expertly made BB, go to Bates City in Shawnee or Oklahoma Joes - now thats good eatin.
