OfficeTeam

I went into OfficeTeam's office just a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to drop off my resume and fill out an application for an administrative assistant position or whatever else they might have available. They are supposed to specialize in administrative positions. Their website currently lists no jobs available, it states that jobs will be coming soon. (that's what it's said for the last 3 weeks that I've been checking back). I decided to walk in to the office because I could not find any information on their website.



When i arrived the receptionist asked if I had filled out their online application. I had not, as I prefer to speak with people face to face if possible. She told me to take my resume and go home to fill out the application. I filled out the application that evening and she gave me the card of Tyler. (I won't mention his last name). The next morning I had an email from Tyler (the only high point of this experience was that he got back to me quickly). Unfortunately his email stated that they had no current positions for people looking for direct hire. I emailed him back and let him know that on their online application i had chosen that I was looking for temp, temp to hire, and permanent positions, so couldn't they find something? So that means unless they have NO clients with ANY positions (i chose all positions on the application) then he just wasn't willing to put in the work to find something that may or may not have interested me. I understand that many agencies just don't have positions that are a good fit for people but they usually tell you that they'll keep looking for you and get back to you. I never received this courtesy and I never heard back from him when I corrected his incorrect one about which positions I was looking for.



I received no help from this company but I did receive help from 3 other great employment agencies. I would rate their customer service poor, website poor, and opportunities available also poor. I rate their opportunities poor because they are not listed on the website and I was never told what opportunities they had available (surely at least a few receptionist/admin assistant positions because that's their specialty).



This is all relative to the other agencies that I have visited and am working with so if you get lucky you may have a better experience than I did.
