I found this company on my credit report from years ago and I called to see what it was a collection for. I called and a woman answered, she handed me over to a man and he treated me so horribly! I told him that I found their name and number on my credit report and I wanted to know the information on what it was for. He was so rude and asked me why I needed the info in a very snoty voice. I tried to explain to him I didn't understand what this bill was for and I just wanted the info so I could make some calls and know what I am paying for and what exactly I need to do to resolve it. He started talking over me and told me I was avoiding paying it and he was accusing me of things that I had no idea what he was talking about, which made me want the account info even more so I could make sure it was legit. He continued to talk over me and I said " can you please just give me the account info?"as soon as I finished he HUNG UP ON ME! I called right back and he hung up on me agian!
