Overall

Overpriced and over garlic

I have lived in the Desert for 15 years and go to Castelli's when I have a visitor who remembers it as the "best".

Well, it's not the best! The escargot had way too much garlic which actually tasted bitter. Not good at all.

When I mentioned it to the waiter, he said, "the manager is not willing to credit your bill because you ate it".

Another time, the bill was $420 for (3) people and one did not drink. Yes, they ordered a bottle of wine, but I wonder now if they over-charged on that. I've heard they do that.

Castelli's Restorante is an Italian restaurant that serves dinner. Its specialty include fettuccine alfredo appetizers, Osso Buco, 18-ounce veal chop and Filetto Marsala, a 10-ounce petite filet mignon charbroiled and topped with a sauce of Marsala wine and portabello mushrooms. The restaurant also serves jumbo blue lump crab cakes, fried calamari, eggplant parmigiana, bistecca peperonata, risotto tutto mare, crab legs and vitello alla Milanese. It offers a range of red, white and sparkling wines. The restaurant has been in business for more than 20 years, and is closed from July through August. It also provides catering services for various events, including receptions, private parties, meetings and banquets. Castelli's Restorante is located in Palm Desert, Calif.
