Primary Care
An optometrist is a primary care doctor of the eye. These doctors collaborate with your primary care doctor or your child’s pediatrician to help provide primary care of the eye. If you have vision issues, eye pain, redness, or other eye problems, you’ve come to the right place.

Ophthalmologists

Glaucoma
Both Dr. Ryan and Dr. Zak are optometric glaucoma specialists, holding the highest level of license in the State of Texas.
Macular Degeneration
Dilation is considered the standard of care for a routine eye examination. For the most thorough examination, dilation is recommended. If any disease process is suspected (such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, etc.), a dilated retinal exam may be called for even if a Optomap image is taken. Dilation drops are admitted towards the end of the regular eye examination and can take up to 40 minutes to reach their full effectiveness.
Laser Eye Surgery
Our doctors are trained in evaluating all forms of contact lenses. Aside from using basic soft lenses and RGP lenses, Dr. Zak and Dr. Ryan work with scleral contact lenses to help provide the best in vision and in comfort for irregular corneas. If you have keratoconus, had LASIK in the past that went poorly, or had a cornea transplant, this is the office you want to visit. See our contact lens page for more information.
Cataracts
Medical Insurance provides for an eye examination or evaluation when the nature of your problem is medical. Medical conditions such as dry eyes, cataracts, or eye infections are billed through your medical insurance.
Eye Exam
At Rosemore Eye Care, we take pride in providing expert and attentive care in a comfortable environment. The most important part of an eye exam is you. Our doctors and staff listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and do what it takes to meet your individual needs. With the latest in state of the art equipment, difficult to diagnose eye diseases are much easier to identify and treat. Our approach allows us to catch subtle signs and changes related to diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and many other medical conditions.

Autism
Family is at the heart of our business. Dr. Zak joined Rosemore Eye Care in 2012 after completing his studies at Washington University in St. Louis with a bachelor’s degree in Economics in 2008 and his doctorate in Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in 2012. His clinical experience in school included a rotation through Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. He continued his training with Dr. Charles Shidlofsky, an expert in neurodevelopmental optometry and pediatric optometry. Through these experiences, Dr. Zak feels quite comfortable in treating most patients. Experience with children as young as 6 months old to children with autism spectrum disorders has prepared Dr. Zak for most clinical scenarios.
