The Bridge Program is the first rural hospital program available to those who struggle with opioid use disorder. The program offers individuals the opportunity to walk into the Castleview Emergency Department and get assistance with a short-term supply of Suboxone that will reduce the urge to use, as well as being connected to appropriate outpatient care that will help support recovery.

Once your physician has scheduled your surgery, patients will be contacted by the admissions department to begin the pre-registration process. Approximately one week before surgery, patients will receive a phone call from one of our highly skilled pre-operative nurses. They will gather your medical and surgical history and get a list of your medications. All completed pre-operative testing, such as lab tests or EKG, will be reviewed. Patients will also be given instructions on what to do the day of surgery including when to arrive and where to report. The nurse will review what to expect both before surgery and after your procedure.

LDCT (low-dose computed tomography) works much like an x-ray exam to produce pictures of your chest and lungs. This high-quality lung screening detects lung abnormalities but with 90 percent less ionizing radiation than a conventional CT scan. If you have a high risk of lung cancer but no signs or symptoms, a LDCT screening could help you catch potentially cancerous spots at their earliest and most treatable stage.

Your medical provider will call you soon after your screening to explain your results and discuss any additional necessary medical care. If the CT scan were to detect any potentially cancerous nodules, another screening may be needed after a few months to monitor your lungs’ conditions. Regardless of your results, annual screenings are recommended, as yearly low-dose CT scans have been shown to decrease mortality in patients who had increased risk due to smoking.

We offer several different types of weight loss surgery procedures here at Castleview Hospital – bariatric surgery that is performed laparoscopically. Our patients can expect to leave the hospital with six to eight incisions between ½” to 1 inch long. This promotes faster healing, shorter hospital stays and a quicker return to work.
