AT&T

I love this app however when you call I would expect to talk to someone not a IVR

I recently visited this store and activated 5 new lines of service. I was very impressed with the customer service I was provided and would strongly recommend at&t Mobility to anyone. There is no way that I would do business with any other company. I read a review that someone posted about regretting leaving Verizon Wireless, but I sure don't. Great job at&t!

I am a new AT&T customer, had Verizon for almost 15 years. Decided to switch to AT&T almost 2 years ago.

So my razor just stopped working. Well I am only 6 wks away from my allowed renewal date. I had been contemplating should I renew with AT&T - and thought sure why not, my phone is broke and I need a new one now.

Went to the Irwin store 10/20/08, was told that even though I can renew as soon as 11/30/08 my only options in getting phone service now (which I desperately need since i use my wireless for my home based business) is that I pay $75 more than the display price since it is 6 wks prior my renewal time. That in itself seems bogus - like wouldn't you think AT&T would at least want me to remain customer for another 2 years??? Or I was told by the store rep I can be without a phone for the next 6 wks if I don't want to pay the extra $75 on top of the price of a new phone which I'm sure is at least $100.

option B - I'm told is I could purchase a used phone for $40 for the interim and pay a $20 restock fee when I return it upon my renewal date. I'm sorry but being in customer servcie - this didn't seem like the best option either.

Since I need a phone now, and I'm going to have to pay way out of pocket anyway - why wouldn't I just go purchase a new phone with Verizon???
