Emergency Care
Those practices that wish to be accredited complete a lengthy application process, which culminates with an on-site visit by a veterinary professional employed by AAHA. Those practices that are found to be in compliance with the policies and Standards requirements established by the Association are awarded AAHA Accredited Practice status. In order to maintain accreditation, the practice must undergo periodic review and additional on-site evaluations, at intervals of approximately every three years. The standards focus on the following areas: Anesthesia, Client Service, Contagious Disease, Continuing Education, Dentistry, Diagnostic Imaging and Evaluation, Emergency and Urgent Care, Exam Facilities, Housekeeping and Maintenance, Human Resources, Laboratory, Leadership, Medical Records, Pain Management, Patient Care, Pharmacy, Safety, and Surgery.
Electrocardiogram
We offer three levels of in-house blood testing before surgery, which we will go over with you when you bring your pet in. Our doctors prefer the more comprehensive screen, because it gives them the most information to ensure the safety of your pet. For geriatric or ill pets, additional blood tests, electrocardiograms, or x-rays may be required before surgery as well.
Immunizations
AAHA reminds pet owners that they can help pets live healthier and longer lives by taking their pets to the veterinarian for annual physical exams, vaccinations, and dental care as well as providing pets with fresh water, a balanced diet, and exercise.

Endoscopy
Endoscopy: Fiber optic endoscopy allows retrieval of many foreign bodies and diagnostic gastric and duodenal biopsy capabilities without the need for invasive exploratory surgery. Recovery periods are dramatically shortened and patient comfort is greatly enhanced.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound: Abdominal, thoracic and echocardiographic ultrasound imaging can be performed in-house or performed through referral specialty consultants. Our equipment utilizes color flow, pulse and continuous wave doppler to enhance diagnostic imaging.
Radiology
Radiology Services: Our on-site, whole-body and dental X-ray equipment provide high quality radiographs which aid in the diagnosis of many disorders.
X-Rays

General Surgery
Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. We maintain excellent relationships with multiple advanced specialty referral institutions enabling access to the most advanced surgical procedures.
Reconstructive Surgery
Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental radiographs, tooth extractions, periodontal treatments and oral reconstructive surgery.
