Many people get frightened at the idea of root canal treatment, but this fear is actually quite unnecessary. Root canal treatment is not a problem, but a solution. After the procedure that is accomplished with complete numbness, the pain before is almost always absent. Thanks to modern technology, many root canal treatments can be provided in a single day and with minimal pain or negative side effects. On the day of your appointment, your dentist will begin treatment by carefully numbing the area with a local anesthetic. A small opening is then created in the tooth so that the root canal can be accessed. I am very excited to use this skill set when I return to Rolla to provide patients with exceptional dental care without having to travel to a nearby city.
