This was my second gun purchase from them. We went in to buy my wife a Kimber for Christmas and ended up special ordering one. After the fact, I realized that they charged us over MSRP for the gun. When I called them out on it, they wanted to charge me a 20% restocking fee on a gun they hadn't yet received. That would have be $180 on a gun that has an MSRP of $842. Needless to say they never once offered to lower the price or anything remotely close to an apology. They were very arrogant about the whole thing. I won't ever do business with them ever again and will disuade anybody I can to do business with them.

Terrible! I purchased a handgun on Aug. 7th at the gunshow in Houston. My background check was delayed, so the sales associate told me I could pick up my weapon at the Woodlands show the following week and told me to email them on the status of my background check. I waited the 3 days and emailed them to check on the status, I spoke with the owner, Jeff, who said it was fine and his transfer agent would call me and meet me in a mutual location to deliver the weapon. Excited i didnt have to wait until the weekend, I asked when I could expect to hear from them. Jeff NEVER replied! I thought this was very unprofessional, but brushed it off and planned on going to the Woodlands gunshow. When I got to SAW on Sat. 13th, they could not find it, they left it at the shop in Dallas. I emailed Jeff and got no reply. I called the shop and they had it, so my only option was to drive 3 1/2 hours to Dallas to pick up my weapon, which I did. I will never buy from them again nor will my hunting club.

READ THE REVIEWS BELOW!! It is all true. Terrible at what they do. Josh is a nice guy, but doesn't seem to be involved with class 3 weapons so you can't deal with him. Jeff is rude and irritable, so you don't want to deal with him. Patti tries to be nice, but doesn't follow through with what she says she is going to do. This has been a nightmare. Mistakes on the forms, slow to get things done. Total disregard for customer satisfaction. They have a policy that you have to pay for your class 3 stamp and a deposit on the gun. Once they have that, they have you over a barrel. They hide behind the fact they know you are already invested in the gun so they stop caring about turn-around time. Patti, will tell you there is nothing they can do about the wait time. The typical wait time isn't the problem, mistake after mistake will add several weeks to your wait time due to having to resubmit the corrected form. Use another FFL. Don't put yourself in this situation like I did. I read the reviews and gave SAW Inc the benefit of the doubt and now I am paying for it.

Where to start...I have never been treated more poorly than I was by these people. Unprofessional, no sense of urgency, rude, amateur, clueless, etc...etc... I have made too many gun purchases in my lifetime to count and I have never had such an unpleasant experience. Multiple mistakes on my class 3 application. We just submitted my application for my tax stamp for the third time due to mistakes on their part. It wouldn't surprise me if there will have to be a 4th attempt. We are now into the 6 month of waiting. Their mistakes have added at least 2 months onto the processing time. Who knows who much longer it will be. There are too many FFL's out there to waste your time with this one. Take your money and run. Go to another FFL. This advice is coming from a gun enthusiast who understands the gun culture and knows the amount of good people in the gun community and how we look out for each other. These people are not them and do not understand this. They act like they are doing you a favor by having an FFL and you should be glad they are even taking a minute of their time to deal with you. I read the horrible reviews on yellowpages shortly after giving them the money for the tax stamp plus a $300 deposit on the gun. I had hoped it was not going to happen to me and it has. If I could give a lower rating that 1 star, I would.

worst experience ever stay away

The salesman quoted me one price and when they rung me up it was a bait and switch. They tried to sell me a gun with a missing mag and when I called them the owner jeff flipped out and started cursing. I have never been disrespected like that. The problem could have been easly resolved but they have no customer service. This guy does not deserve your money dont waiste your time.

Wow, please learn from MY mistake in purchasing ANYTHING from SAWs Inc. This is the most unorganized business I have dealt with, including any retailer outside the gun industry. DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT PURCHASING CLASS 3 FROM THIS DEALER, because in addition to the waiting period from the ATF, you will have an additional waiting period of them getting you an item that actually works. One of the guns I purchased came with an additional barrel, which they tried to leave out. Another one I purchased had a completely different bolt carrier assembly & barrel as the one I purchased. They also tried to give me my paid for guns without magazines, seriously? On my 4th trip out there (and don’t kid yourself, this place is close to nothing so get ready for a DRIVE), the owner finally said “well let me stop what I’m doing to go get your stuff from my house” like I was causing some inconvenience to him by getting the items I already purchased...Good to know that my paid for items are sitting in his house somewhere. I’m sure that falls in-line with ATF compliance… Mind you this was my 4th trip out there. All being unsuccessful because they have proved to SCREW SOMETHING UP EVERY TIME. The gun I purchased, where I had to explain that the upper and barrel were different, broke after shooting 10 rounds through it!!!! SHOCKING! That lead to my 5th trip out there, to drop it off and get it fixed. They called and had me come to the Fort Worth gun show to pick it up my “fixed and working” gun. I don’t know why I wasn’t shocked they didn’t have the gun there…. Literally Patti called me on Saturday and asked me to come to the show Sunday. I paid $10 for parking and another $10 to get in, yet they couldn’t call me back to tell me the gun wasn’t there? At the show Jeff, the owner, was sure to tell me it was my fault and he’d fix it “this one time.” I almost hoped he didn’t fix it just so I could sue him and really put him out of some money. He obviously doesn’t give a S#!+ about any employee or customer in his business. Oh by the way, once I got my “working weapons” from him, I went to clean them… WOW, what kind of gun store owner sells guns that look like they haven’t been cleaned since 1990. Really? … I have never seen more than one customer in that shop, yet they are too busy to clean the most expensive guns they sell? The gun he “fixed for me” now has a different finish on the back half and looks like someone did a cheap weld to reattach the back. Also, the reason the gun didn’t work in the first place is because it has MISSING INTERNAL COMPONENTS... The owner Jeff is probably the least productive business owner around. Jeff needs to call it quits and close the business, he is not a business owner just a guy who has some people thinking he really knows a lot about guns (which is obviously not true). Patti is sweet and tries to make up for Jeff’s shortcomings, but that’s a job no one can handle. I am really excited to watch this business fail, I may even show up the bankruptcy auction, just to smile at how this business played out. Don’t kid yourself, you can get anything he has for the same or better price somewhere else. All these shops use the same distributor and get the same pricing, so do yourself a favor and go somewhere that has at least some customer service.

Do not shop at SAW in Sunnyvale Texas, I purchased a $600 firearm today using a MasterCard and was charged 4% = $26.00 for using a credit card in there store so that means that they charged me to shop in there store, I will never shop there again. If they get charged a fee from the credit card company that is part of doing business and shouldn't charge it to customers. They told me that they charge a fee for using a debit card as well. Spend your money else where. What seemed to be an ok deal ended up costing the amount that I thought I was saving, they also didn't mention the fee until all paper work was complete. This is a bad way to do business and lost me as a future customer. There ammo was extremely high too, didn't buy any there.

Don't Buy At The Retail Store

They may have great deals at gun shows but their retail store prices are ridiculous. They had a Sig P938 priced at $830. I've seen it at several stores for $699-$750. They have it on their website for $579 but they said they are out of stock of online stock, but I can buy the one in the store for $830!!
