Medical Weight Loss
Snoring in children is often the result of overgrown tonsils and adenoids. If this is the case, surgical removal can often restore normal airflow. This is generally recommended only in severe cases; your childâ€™s doctor may take a wait and see approach if symptoms are minor. Other solutions include weight loss or the use of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) devices or mouth guards.
Snoring

Ear Infections
In addition to pain and discomfort, a middle ear infection can cause tiny air cells in the mastoid bone to fill up with pus. As the infection spreads, potentially reaching the brain, the bone is destroyed, resulting in hearing loss. If antibiotics are unsuccessful in clearing up the infection, then mastoid surgery may be needed.

When certain conditions interfere with normal thyroid production, surgical removal of the thyroid gland is performed. This is usually done when thyroid cancer has been detected, an otherwise benign thyroid nodule grows so large it causes problems or hyperthyroidism (a disorder in which excess thyroid hormone is produced) does not respond to treatment with medications or radioactive iodine, though this is rare.

He was selected into the joint residency in otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery at Bi-County Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan, where he was named top surgical resident in 2003 & 2004. Dr. Perry has been double-board certified in otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery since 2004. Dr. Perry frequently shares his medical expertise by lecturing to medical groups and training resident physicians. Over the years, Dr. Perry has also been active in medical missions in Haiti, Mexico and Honduras.
