Swedish Massage
As one of the most well-known massage techniques, Swedish massage is a vigorous system of treatment designed to energize the body by stimulating circulation. Five types of strokes are used to manipulate the soft tissues of the body. Therapists use a combination of kneading, rolling, vibration, percussive and tapping movements, with the application of lotion or oil, to reduce friction on the skin.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue adds more focused strokes including forearms and elbows. Swedish techniques are performed to warm and loosen the tissue before deeper strokes are added. For a broad area, such as the back, at least 30 minutes is devoted to that one area to get a more effective release of muscle tightness.
Prenatal Massage
Prenatal Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman’s body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Prenatal Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation.

Since completing my initial training at the Baltimore School of Massage, I have also received attunements of Usui Reiki, training in Integrative Reflexology, and completed an intense 108-hour training program with the Bruno Chikly method of Lymph Drainage Therapy. In addition, I have been trained in Prenatal Massage, CranioSacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, and Kinesiotaping.
