Globe Home Warranty was able to help with a plumbing problem last week but not without a hiccup. I submitted the claim and a plumber came out which I paid my service fee to. He let Globe Home know what the problem was and then apparently just disappeared. Globe could no longer reach him to do the repair. I called as well with no answer. This added a couple of days to my claim. Globe had to send out another contractor that was able to complete the repair a few days later so it was finally resolved. At least I only had to pay the service fee once.

Great service from Globe Home today. My furnace went cold yesterday and Globe had a furnace tech out this morning. He replaced a motor and got it heating again. I only went a day without heat. It was an easy process to place the claim. I saved some money that can go towards Christmas now. This is why I got the warranty to begin with.

When I have a negative experience I am the first one online to post a review so I am trying to do the same when I have a positive one. This review is going to be one of my positive ones. I called Globe Home Protection last Monday with a furnace problem. It stopped working and its getting cold here in Chicago. I think it’s getting down to the 30’s. I called them after normal business hours and was able to speak with a person that placed my claim and said they would have someone out in the morning. I called Globe back first thing in the morning as I had not heard from the contractor and they said they would follow up. Apparently they contacted the contractor last night and they agreed to take the call today. Ten minutes after hanging up with Globe I received a call from the contractor. Thank goodness whatever was wrong the contractor had on his van because it is too cold to be waiting for parts. The service man was knowledgeable and resolved the issue. Really great service all around on this. The Globe associates, the contractor and me, the customer worked together and got the job done within a day of the problem starting. I feel like we made a good team.

I had a fairly easy claim that was handled well. My disposal locked up and I tried resetting and using the hex key to get it going. No luck. I called globe home protection and they sent a contractor out to confirm it was dead and he replaced it. No fuss, no muss.

Overall I am pretty happy about the service I have received from Globe Home Protection. My air conditioner quit on me and the got someone out pretty quickly. The guy explained that I had a ban fan motor and the claims person approved it for repair. Of course it had to be ordered. They did not let the vendor order the part though. They wanted to order the part themselves and have it shipped to me or the vendor. I guess they save money by doing it that way. My only question is maybe the vendor could have gone to a parts house and got it quicker. I guess we will never know. Anyways it is fixed and I have air again. I am thankful for that.

A difficult job well done on behalf of Globe Home Protection and their service technician. My air conditioning stopped working with temperatures in the mid-nineties. I called Globe, my warranty company for help. They had a service technician out to my house the next morning and he found I had no coolant in the unit. We had to wait two days for the part to become ready and the vendor was back out for the final repair. My unit in the garage happens to be suspended from the ceiling and had to be lowered in order for the work to be completed. They had to have a two person team to take it down, repair and then placed back up hanging from cables. It took them all day and to do all that they did when it is ninety five degrees out was no fun. I kept them hydrated with drinks all day. They did a great job and after the whole ordeal I am finally cooling off. Thank goodness for the service I was given. I am so glad to have air again.

Globe Home Protection did great for me this week. My washer stopped advancing through the cycles in the middle of a wash. I ended up with soaking wet clothes I had to run to the laundry mat. I hadn’t been there in a while. I called up Globe and let them know I needed appliance guy. Globe is actually local to me so they were able to get someone out the next morning. The entire control panel needed to be replaced and that was something that had to be ordered. It was approved because it was just normal wear. They ended up shipped the part right to me and I let them know when it arrived. We worked out a time and the tech came out for the final repair. Now I have a working washer again. The home warranty works. It’s worth it having someone to call.

I just finished getting my bathroom back together so I'm ready to review. I had a leak in my shower that was behind the tile. I called Globe Home Protection claims and submitted my claim. Easy process and then send a plumber out. Needless to say he had to break the the tile in order to get to the leak. He called it into Globe and they approved the work but one thing to know about a warranty company is they don't replace the tile. They just fix the problem itself. So the plumber did the repairs and left me to find my own tile guy. I can't really complain because they say they only cover plumbing and in dealing with them it was painless and they did their part. I attached a photo of my completed bathroom. It looks pretty good. You should have seen it before.

I called in an electrical problem yesterday. The outlet started sparking and the breaker would not reset. When you see sparks coming from an outlet you panic. I just happened to see it happen. Super scary so I called Globe Home Protection and filed my claim. An electrician made it out today. He changed four outlets in that room and replaced part of the wiring to make it safe. Excellent service and I feel better already.

Globe Home Protection deserves 5 Stars for the help they gave me this week. My heat stopped working and it is freezing here in Chicago. It was a true emergency as my Grandmother is staying with us and she can’t handle a night of this cold. I called Globe and they were able to get a company out that afternoon. The contractor showed up when he was supposed to and was very knowledgeable. He diagnosed my problem, went out to get a part and returned to get my furnace working again. A great job all around from Globe and the contractor.

So my experience so far has been pretty positive. I moved into this property four months ago so I’m new to the home. Everything was working properly and I was happy with the home until last week when my water heater started leaking. My floors, walls and everything were soaked and I have had fans running in the hall for a week hoping to stop any mold from growing. I called Globe Home Protection and put in my claim. They sent out an old timer that came to take a look. All he did was report back that it needed replacement and said he would be back. I called the claims department and they told me they needed to put one on order and were working on it. The next day I got a call from the plumber saying he could be out that afternoon. He came out and installed a new 50 gallon water heater but there was a very slow leak at the top. A manufacture defect. He got on the phone again with Globe Home and said he would be back.

So Globe Home called the manufacture and they shipped a new valve out. The plumber again came out and installed the new valve. It was a little bit of a rigmarole but I know these things happen. At least I wasn’t the one having to do all the leg work. Anyways, it’s done now and I just hope nothing else comes up.

I have been with Globe Home Protection for 4 or 5 years now. I am enrolled in their auto-renew program and just pay monthly. In this time I have file a dozen claims and they are always pleasant on the phones. I actually know a couple of the people there.

What prompted me to write a review was their service last week. My furnace stopped working so I called the claims department and let them know. A technician was out only a few hours later. He found that the thermostat had broken. Globe authorized and he proceeded to replace it right then. My problem was corrected in a matter of hours.

I have filed several claims with them and it does not always happen like this. I imagine everything has to work out perfectly on their side but nevertheless I was impressed. It is well worth my money to be able to call on them.

I called Globe Home Protection out on a dryer problem. Just a bunch of questions and the claim was in. The service company made it out a few days later. The diagnosis was that it was dead and not worth trying to repair. Globe said they could replace it or give me a check and I could go and get one myself. I took the later option. I would rather pick what is going in my own home than leave it to them. They gave me an estimate of what they would pay but made up the difference and upgraded a little since I wasn't paying full price. It took a month to get my check but I just got it. Which is why I am writing this review. It was nice to see a $500 check come in.

This is my first time owning a pool so I am glad it was added to my home warranty. The pump or motor stopped working and the pool stopped coming on. I was afraid it would turn green so I called Globe Home Protection as soon as I noticed. They sent a technician that was knowledgeable. He said it wasn’t anything I did, they just burn up due to normal wear at times. Globe authorized a new one and the technician came out the next day to finish the repairs. They are a decent company. My problem was fixed within a couple of days from calling it in.

Great job Globe! I called in about my dishwasher leaking and they got a guy in touch with me that took care of it. It took two trips because he needed parts but the process was painless. I work from home these days. Globe Home Protection was pretty efficient. They approved it over the phone. The dishwasher is pretty new. I don’t know how it happened because I’m a little OCD and prewash everything but it is what it is. Globe fixed it.

I had a good experience today my yellow pages friends. I was horrified last week when my water company told me I had used 34000 gallons the last two weeks. They told me I must have a leak and to call a plumber. I remembered my Globe Home Protection and called for help. They sent out a very nice gentleman that checked the meter and checked all over the house. He checked outside as well. Come to find out it was a toilet that was running. 34000 gallons from a toilet! He changed out the inside of the toilet and fixed my problem. He even gave me a letter to give to the water company saying they would discount my water bill. Everyone involved was very helpful. I was happy I had my warranty that's for sure.

I placed a claim last week on my washer. It was not getting through all of the cycles. I called Globe Home Protection and spoke with a really helpful representative. He took my claim, assured me it would be dispatched quickly and generally made me feel at ease where I was going to be taken care of. I received a call from their contractor and he came out to look at it. He stated he needed to order parts and took off. It was a couple of days so I called back and ended up getting the same rep. He put me on hold and called the contractor and got me an update on everything. He put a tracking on the part and gave me the eta. The contractor called back and finished the repair. I am placing this review for the representative. He was easy to deal with and did his job in getting me statuses. I’m not going to put his name online but he did a great job.

I called Globe last week with dirty water coming up from my downstairs bathtub and toilet. Pretty much everything on the bottom floor was out of commission. A nightmare. I spoke with the rep and he said it sounded like the main line to the road was clogged and they treat this problem like it's an emergency. They were able to get the plumber out that day. I asked that he email me information about the coverage and I learned a little about it. You have to have a cleanout for them to snake from and if you don’t know where it is they won’t pay to have the plumber dig up the yard looking for it. The plumber they sent had to look for a few minutes with me but thankfully he found it on the side of the house. If they can’t find it they won’t pay to add a new one. So basically you have to have a cleanout ready to use for the plumber to snake the line, which makes sense.

Anyways he was able to unclog the pipe and fixed my problem. Everything drained down and I had some cleaning to do. It worked out great for me but I can see how it might have gone differently and I might have had to pay for a new cleanout or something. On Globe’s part the rep was helpful. They got a plumber out the same day I called with the issue and the plumber fixed the problem under the warranty. Just how it is supposed to work. 5 stars this time for Globe.

I have the Stellar plan and I received Stellar help from this company. I contacted them with a garbage disposal that was leaking. They sent out a guy with a new one in hand and had it replaced the next day. Now that's pretty amazing to me. This is the first time I tried calling in and they were great. The girl that handled my call was polite. The vendor was great and knew what he was doing. All in all it was a very good experience.

I used the warranty for the first time last week and I have to say it was surprising easy. My dishwasher started leaking a little so I called in and let them know what was going on. They dispatched a vendor for me and I was a little skeptical because the guy showed up in a car instead of a van or truck. He was still, very professional though and he came in and opened the dishwasher up. He found a leaking pump but did not have the parts to repair it. Globe actually ordered it and it took a 2 days to get the pump. Back came the vendor still in a car and with the pump in hand. He made the repair and it no longer leaks. He did a great job and Globe facilitated the whole thing. I imagine I will use the warranty again as inevitably something is going to break in a year period. It’s a good thing I can just call Globe. Hopefully it saves me some money this year.
