Please Stay Away From This Burnt-Out establishment. My family had been going to this restaurant/bakery since the 70's and last weekend fiasco was one of the countless disappointments we've had with this place, so we decided that we'll never go back to Katella Deli any longer.
To make the long story short, we've noticed that from the Owner/Management and on down to the employees, 'Burn-Out' and 'Don't Care Attitude' are so evident. From poor food quality to harsh attitude of the wait staff, it's so obvious that this Restaurant should just call it quits and close the door shut. We celebrated a Birthday and a Wedding Anniversary only to be mistreated and given poor quality food. We normally give over 15% tips but we didn't feel that the 'wait staff' deserves the 10% we left them.
To the Management of Katella Deli, please do the public a favor by following your burnt- out attitudes and close down your place for good. If you really want to stay in business, please get some Professional Culinary and Guest Hospitality Training.

I have eaten there twice now and ordered different items and the food was always good and fresh. It gets busy so get there before noon.

Provided by SuperpagesLet me tell you, when I'm craving matzo ball soup, I go to Katella Deli. It is available everyday. FYI, they also have other special soups of the day. The pastrami sandwich is also one of my favs!!! Great lunch combo, matzo ball soup & a pastrami sandwich with PICKLES!!!

Provided by SuperpagesThis place has been around a long time. My family has been going there since I was a kid. Their bakery is to die for! Love the cakes and pastries. They also do take out and they have a full bar area with TV's so you can watch your sports. I personally love the salad bar.

Provided by SuperpagesOne of the best Kosher style deli's in OC. Their matzo balls are a light and fluffly delight and their pastrami on rye is a great sandwich. They don't skimp on the meat either - piled high the way it should be. I just wish they made an egg bagel!

Provided by SuperpagesBest Place in Los Al. Their bakery is incredible. We get our daughters birthday cakes there. Also don't forget their New York style bagels. As far as the restaurant goes. Lots of good things to go from their deli sandwiches, to their hot dogs, the Scrabled Lox, Eggs and Onions and more.

I've eaten at Katella Deli several times and the staff are courteous, the food is seasoned well and prepared to my satisfaction. I really love the desserts, my favorite is the Zucchini Muffin. I now live in Georgia and no one here can beat the muffins I once got from Katella Deli. I miss them very much. Try it, you'll like it too.
