Veterinary Surgery
He is a graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation he operated a small animal hospital in Kansas City, Missouri for six months. As a relief veterinarian for a corporation of five clinics, Dr. Hardin worked the five clinics for a year in both Kansas and Missouri. The clinic in Johnson County was growing and Dr. Hardin became a full time partner there for eight years before opening Metcalf 107 Animal Clinic. In all those years, he has found his experience rewarding. He has done open heart surgery, every kind of major abdominal surgery and orthopaedic surgery. The advent of laser surgery and cryosurgery has expanded his expertise and abilities for the well being and benefit of each pet. Dr. Hardin has attended a surgery laboratory at Michigan State University and belongs to the Kansas City, Kansas and American Veterinary Medical Associations.
Laser Surgery
Aesculight VetScalpel Laser: While Metcalf 107 Animal Clinic has offered laser surgery for nearly 20 years, we now have the most up-to-date version of the VetScalpel Laser. This laser brings the latest in technology to our surgical tools. The veterinary laser utilizes highly concentrated light rays to minimize bleeding and reduce infection risk. Post-surgery, pets tend to recover more quickly and resume normal activities with less swelling, discomfort, and pain.
